I am a Staff Specialist for Work-Fit Inc. (Industrial setting) at NUMMI. NUMMI is a joint GM and Toyota assembly plant, it employs about 5,000 people. 5 ATCs currently run the Rehabilitation and Wellness Program at NUMMI in Fremont, CA. I work directly with workers who have obtained musculoskeletal injuries on the job, perform ergonomic/work practice assesments of workers on the assembly lines, and provide general health and wellness information to workers.
I am currently a member on the District 8 (FWATA) Young Professionals Committee.

After graduation from UO, I worked summer camps at Cal Berkeley and then went abroad for almost 3 months. 1 week in Amsterdam, Holland; 1 week in Ansbach (Bavaria), Germany; and almost 2.5 months in Italy. It was wonderful, but we were ready to come back to the USA. While I currently work in the Industrial setting (which I never planned on doing initially), the set hours and weekends off allow me to do independant contracting with local JCs to remain in contact with the athletic setting, not to mention hobbies that I had practically forgotten that I enjoy!).

WHAT I MISS ABOUT EUGENE/UO:
*The people: My peers who were there (specifically my classmates!), and the staff/faculty. Amazing people.
*While I miss working in the athletics setting...I think i really miss working at the UofO. Lets face it, I think most alumni would admit that we are spoiled while there on multiple levels (people, equipment, academics, community)
*I miss the Rogue and The Hode..er the ROdeo!
*The green-ness of the area. I from Cali...we've practically been in a drought for 10 years it seems! What they say is true..."Eventually, you don't notice the rain".
*I DO NOT MISS allergy season in Eugene! If you have allergies to grass/tree pollen...make sure you have grand arsenol of meds, and find a specialist when you arrive. April to July...miserable for allergies. :)
